Lentra DTT is an internal mobile application used by Lentra employees to record work effort in Lentra's DevRev workspace. It is not offered to the public.
If you connect a Google account, the app requests two permissions: access to its own hidden application folder in your Drive (drive.appdata) and access to files it creates itself (drive.file). It uses them to store an encrypted backup of your local data and a monthly effort report that you may share with your manager. The app cannot see, read or modify any other file in your Drive. You can disconnect the account at any time in the app, and revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Google user data is never sold, used for advertising, or shared with third parties; it is used only to provide the backup and report features you enable, in line with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
The app communicates directly from your device with DevRev, Lentra's GitLab, Google Drive (if connected) and the AI provider you chose (if any). Exports you create are protected with a password you choose before they leave the device.
Teams, admin access and reminders go through Lentra's own admin service (a Cloudflare Worker with its database). It verifies your Google sign-in on each request and keeps: who reports to whom (your work email and your manager's), join requests and invites, the list of admins, a log of changes and sign-ins that only the main admin can read, how many requests each person made per day (kept 35 days), sign-in records (kept 90 days), your phone's push notification token if you allow notifications, and reminders your manager sent you with when they were delivered and seen. It never receives your tokens, effort entries, code or backups.
If you choose the on-device model for grouping commits, a small language model is downloaded once to your phone and runs there. The commit diffs it reads, the one-line summaries it writes (kept in the encrypted database) and the resulting task suggestions never leave the device.
Builds that include a Sentry endpoint send crash reports, warning and error logs, and performance traces (which screens were opened, how long DevRev, GitLab and Drive calls took and whether they failed) to a Sentry project operated for Lentra. Tokens, ticket text, notes, hours and your email are never included; the only identifier is your DevRev user id. You can turn this off at any time under Settings โ Security โ Share diagnostics, after which nothing is sent.
Local data stays on your device until you sign out of the app, uninstall it, or restore a backup. Backups in your Google Drive stay until you delete them or disconnect the account. Effort recorded in DevRev is governed by Lentra's DevRev retention policies.
Questions about this policy go to the Lentra engineering team responsible for the app.
